Account health and restrictions
Keep your account details right and your records up to date. That makes problems easier to sort out, but it won't guarantee you avoid limits.
The basics
- Use your own identity and payment details. Complete checks through the site's official channels.
- Keep records of deposits, withdrawals, bets and lay liabilities.
- Read the offer and account terms before putting money in.
- Use a different strong password for each account and turn on extra security where available.
- Don't open duplicate accounts or use someone else's to get around a restriction.
What's actually been restricted?
A promo restriction can stop you getting offers while still allowing normal bets. A stake limit reduces how much you can place. A suspension or closure can affect account access too. Read the notice so you know which applies.
Limited halfway through an offer?
Check what's already placed. If the bookie accepted a smaller back stake, recalculate the lay for that amount. Don't lay the full planned stake against a smaller bet.
Save the offer terms, bet confirmations and restriction notice. Ask the bookie what happens to an offer you've already started. More detail: the Gambling Commission on free bets and restrictions.
Don't spend money on account myths
Extra losing bets, delayed withdrawals and rounded stakes don't come with a promise of avoiding limits. Don't pay to disguise your betting. Follow the terms and withdraw based on your own needs.
