Limits, gubbings and account closures
“Gubbed” usually means the bookie has stopped you getting promotions. It isn't the same as a stake limit, an ID check or an account closure.
What does the notice mean?
| What you're seeing | What to check |
|---|---|
| Offers disappear or a reward is refused | Whether you're still eligible and what the offer terms say |
| The bookie accepts a smaller stake | What was accepted and whether your lay still matches it |
| Access or withdrawals are paused | The notice and any ID checks requested |
| The account is being closed | Open bets, remaining balance and the bookie's instructions |
What to do
- Save the notice and when it arrived.
- List your accepted bets, unmatched lays, unused rewards and available balance.
- Check any half-finished matched bet first.
- Ask the site's official support team what happens to those bets or offers.
- Save the reply. If it isn't resolved, use the site's complaints process.
Don't start another offer until you know you're eligible. A limit doesn't automatically cancel existing bets or wipe out your balance.
The bookie only accepted part of your stake
If you planned to back £20 but only £5 was accepted, calculate the lay from £5. If you've already laid more, use both confirmations to work out the new position before adding anything else.
ProfitPanda support can help with the betting steps. The bookie has to explain its account decision.
